    One Little Girl's Wish Was No Monkey Business!

    Jasmine looks like any typical and happy Grade 2 student.  However at just 18 months old, she was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.  Her days are consumed with chest clapping, oxygen masks, antibiotics an enzyme medications.   But at 6 years old, that doesn't stop her from enjoying the things she loves most -- watching cartoons, playing board games and watching movies that involve gorrillas -- a creature she loves most.

    While weather and fog grounded the initial departure of Randy's big wish adventure, it's always a sunny day on Sesame Street so that little hiccup wasn't going to get in the way of this happy young man's dream to hang out with Elmo, Cookie Monster and all his Sesame Street friends.

    For 8 year old Jackson from Grand Bank, NL, his ultimate wish most recently came true.  A self-professed bookworm, he's been fascinated with sea turtles for as long as he can remember.  Early last Monday morning, Jackson joined the North Myrtle Beach Sea Turtle Patrol and became a Sea Turtle Patrol member for the day.  He joined the team on their regular rounds, looking for new nests and even helping to relocate a nest of eggs to a protected space.  Later on his wis

    The third annual Atlantic Tiltload Night of 3 Wishes Dinner and Auction was held on March 28, 2015, at the Holiday Inn Harbourview in Dartmouth. This SOLD OUT community event raised over $50,000 to help children across Atlantic Canada receive their one-true-wish. Ann and Darrin Butcher have been partners of Make-A-Wish since 2010.

    Wish Child Philip Becomes Super P!
    Wish Child Becomes Super Hero to Save the Day

    The New Year started out with cheers and applause at Halifax Stanfield International Airport as wish child, Philip, dawned his cape and mask to become Super P and help WestJet out of a bit of a tight spot.   With the "key to the plane" missing, our super hero was off "faster than a speeding bullet" to search the departures area to make sure that flight left on time.  And being a super hero and helping others is this five year old's passion.

    It’s amazing when someone with a big heart for fun, laughter and living should be saddled with a real heart in need of repair.  That’s the case with Ava, just six years old and born with a congenital heart defect. Born with a very rare heart defect known as double inlet left ventricle, Ava’s heart has a large left ventricle and a small right ventricle pumping chamber which results in her becoming tired easily due to low oxygen in the blood.  The defect also affects her ability gain weight and grow and often time trouble breathing also as a result of poor blood flow through her body
