    It's said the kitchen is the heart of a home; that around the kitchen table we best understand the warmth of being together.  That passion for food and connection with family is something nine year-old Alise appreciates deeply.   That’s why when Make-A-Wish® asked for the young Edmonton girl for her most cherished wish in the world, Alise wanted only to meet her hero, Chef Michael Smith, and cook seafood with him in his kitchen in PEI.

    A native of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Chris Gill is a captivating singer/songwriter whose lyrics are masterfully showcased by an incredible musical talent.   Proficient on guitar and drums, as well as a natural on piano, Chris's songs explore and challenge all that is country music.  His new and highly anticipated CD, Gone, is due for release September 1, 2014.   Chris is lending his time and talent to create magic and music for wish kids across Atlantic Canada, with a portion of sales supporting Make-A-Wish Atlantic Provinces.

    It has been a lasting and rewarding partnership - Make-A-Wish Atlantic Provinces and the IMP Employees. 

    On Saturday, July 12th, the employees of IMP Group will be hosting another in a long line of employee golf tournaments. This year is just a bit more special. They'll be celebrating 10 years as partners of Make-A-Wish Atlantic Provinces. Raising well over $30,000 to date, a group of employees at IMP work tireless to put together this fun annual event.

    Like any 9 year-old, Sam looks forward to summer.  The warmer weather and sunny days means time at the cottage and in the water rowing his boat. Some things other kids love to do though, like running on the beach, kicking a ball, riding bikes are just a little more challenging for Sam.  The young boy from North Tetagouche lives with what he calls “a broken heart”.  Diagnosed with tricuspid insufficiency, the ventricle of Sam’s heart doesn’t close properly causing blood to leak adding pressure and enlarging his heart. Having just undergone open-heart surgery, Sam has a long journey

    Night of 3 Wishes Dinner & Auction

    On March 29, 2014, The Atlantic Tiltload Night of 3 Wishes Dinner & Auction raised $40,000 for Make-A-Wish Atlantic Provinces.


    The circus themed event was held at the Holiday Inn Harborview. Wish families were in attendance including families who have benefited from the event in the past, as well as one of the new wish families - Elizabeth's family. Elizabeth will be on her wish trip in late April.

    It`s amazing what can happen when a group of people pull together for a common goal.   The Moncton team of Freedom 55 Financial did just that, adopting the wish of Gabriel, an energetic and enthusiastic young man from Dieppe, and fundraising to help make his dream come true.  With blue eyes that sparkle with happiness and a boundless energy for hockey, soccer and baseball, he doesn’t let much get in his way, not even living with spinal muscular atrophy, the life-threatening condition that slows him down.
